Dr. Victor Dzau will be interviewed by Dr. Adam Goldstein on the changes taking place in healthcare systems and how these changes are impacting communities. Join us for this unique and open talk by one of the leading voices in medical leadership, locally, nationally and internationally.
Dr. Dzau; President & CEO of Duke University Health System, Chancellor of Health Affairs and James B. Duke Professor of Medicine at Duke University. He was the Hersey Professor and Chairman of Medicine at Harvard, and previous Chairman of Medicine at Stanford University. He is recognized nationally and globally for a long and highly decorated career as a scientist, administrator and leader. His seminal research laid the foundation for the development of cardiovascular drugs (ACE and angiotensin inhibitors) that are now being used globally for the treatment of high blood pressure, heart attack and congestive heart failure. For his outstanding scientific contributions he has received numerous awards and recognitions. As one of the world’s most preeminent academic health leaders, Dr Dzau advises governments, businesses and universities worldwide, serving on advisory councils and boards of directors.
Dr. Adam Goldstein is a Professor of Family Medicine at the UNC School of Medicine. As a leading U.S. expert in primary care, Dr. Goldstein has a 20-year history in clinical practice, teaching, and research. He is the host of the weekly “Your Health” radio program on WCHL and is a past president of the Jewish Federation of Durham-Chapel Hill.
