Jewish Food Festival 2020

Order online NOW and pick up your favorite Jewish foods from the South’s most beloved Jewish Food Festival on 5/31!

This year, the Jewish Food Festival will be an online preorder and a contactless drive-thru pickup only. Order your Jewish food favorites including potato latkes, cheese blintzes, and brisket and challah sandwiches! Nosh on Israeli couscous and spinach and feta bourekas while you enter to win amazing raffle prizes including an all-expenses-paid 3-night trip to Boston, a Brew Tour with Taste Carolina, a stay at The Durham Hotel, and so much more (to look forward to when this pandemic is over)! Scroll down to learn about all our raffle prizes.

All proceeds from food and raffle ticket sales go to the Jewish Federation’s initiatives to address food insecurity in Durham, Orange, and Chatham counties. The more you buy, the more you help! Plus, when you pick up your food order, you can also drop off donations of non-perishable food and hygiene products for our Food Pantry without even getting out of your car! More information on needed items is below.

We hope to nosh alongside y’all in person in 2021 and thank you for supporting local nonprofit organizations!

Make sure you’re able to pick up your order on May 31, 11am-2pm. Orders that are not picked up within the pickup window will be donated to our Food Pantry.

5/12 ALERT: We are SOLD OUT OF FOOD! Thanks for the love, everyone! While the food is sold out, you can still purchase raffle tickets for great post-pandemic experiences and escapes. Click here to check out the raffle!

Dreaming of a getaway? Our raffle prizes are just what the rabbi ordered.

And, you read right: proceeds from all raffle ticket sales also benefit our Food Pantry! In fact, the purchase of just one raffle ticket allows us to give a family in need a bag of groceries that can include fresh produce and hygiene products! Raffle prize winners are not only making a mitzvah, they get an extra post-pandemic treat, too!

Donate to our Food Pantry!

The spirit of the Jewish Food Festival is to support our Food Pantry, and we need donations of food and hygiene products now more than ever to support the increasing number of families experiencing food insecurity. Things we need include:

  • canned tuna and chicken
  • dried pasta and pasta sauces
  • peanut butter
  • canned vegetables and canned or dried beans
  • canned or instant soup
  • cooking oil and spices
  • travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, and body wash
  • hand soap, body wash, and bar soap
  • hand sanitizer and cleaning wipes
  • toilet paper and Kleenex
  • toothpaste and mouthwash
  • paper grocery bags

When you pick up your Jewish Food Festival order on 5/31, staff will be available to accept your Food Pantry donations without your ever getting out of your car! Pop the trunk or roll down your window, and we’ll take care of the rest. And thank you in advance for your support of our efforts to combat food insecurity in Durham, Orange, and Chatham Counties.
