Men’s and Women’s Groups
The JCC Men’s and Women’s Groups Meetings are attended by men and women of retirement age who are looking for a meaningful social activity for learning, entertainment, and friendly interaction with others of a similar age. The groups sometimes meet separately and sometimes host joint programs. Typically the groups meet twice per month on Fridays at 10:00am.

Come join us at our monthly hands-on cooking classes in the JCafé kitchen.We have new chefs every month! We gather at the end of each session to enjoy a meal of the foods prepared in class.
92nd Street Y
We will be screening 92nd Street & talks encompassing a variety of subjects – from the elections to book presentations to science – followed by a discussion. Snacks will be provided.
Want to learn to paint landscapes or to create a collage? Join us for these exciting workshops. Appropriate for adult beginners as well as those with some experience.
The J is all about warmth and inclusion, Jewish values, summer camp, and sweet smell of challah. Join us in creating a Community Tapestry to celebrate our JCC and 100 years of Jewish life in North America. You will draw or write what this J means to you.

Freedom Photography Contest
Express yourself creatively and display your work at the Levin JCC during our Freedom Photography Contest. The categories are: professional, amateur, and kids. Submissions were accepted February 1-March 10th and all submissions were on display from March 17th-April 18th.
We will take group tours of local museums and historic places around North Carolina. Experience the area outside of the JCC with your JCC family.
Jewish Food Festival
The Jewish Food Festival at the Levin JCC started in 2012 and is an annual spring/summer event celebrating traditional Jewish foods representing Ashkenazi (Eastern European), Sephardic (Mediterranean) and New York Deli specialties. Community volunteers participate in preparing and serving family favorites. Event entry is free with a free parking shuttle. Everyone is invited.
Israel Film Series
Sponsored by the Israel Center of the Jewish Federation, we screen a few Israeli films each year. The films range from documentaries to comedies.

American Dance Festival’s 40th Anniversary
Join the Israel Center in celebrating American Dance Festival’s 40th anniversary in Durham. This year, ADF will feature the performances by three Israeli-based choreographers.
Sponsored by the Jewish Federation, we will be screen films related to Jewish culture throughout the year.
Triangle Jewish Chorale (TJC) Concerts
The Triangle Jewish Chorale performs songs of the Jewish people through the ages. The Levin JCC is TJCs home base for weekly rehearsals and two free concerts in the spring and winter. The group performs folk and composed music in Hebrew, Ladino and Yiddish.
Ignite is a speaker series and networking event. The series includes four to six breakfast/interview events per year with business and community leaders with ties to the Jewish community.
Women’s Group Book Club
This offshoot of the Women’s Group meets the second Friday of each month. Book selection is broad and the club is member facilitated.

Israeli Authors Book Club
This club is sponsored by the Israel Center of the Jewish Federation and meets every six weeks. Book selections are available in English and Hebrew.
Join us for a weekly card game of Canasta! Every Tuesday 11:00am-1:00pm.
Calling all knitting and crocheting enthusiasts! Join your fellow knitters and crocheters as you kvetch all the while making handicrafts for those in need (or work on your own project). Starts February 28th and happens every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 6:00-8:00pm.
